Whats Happening in North Bethesda
North Bethesda is one of the most exciting places to live in the DC Metropolitian areas because there is so much change happening right now.
4 new high rise apartment buildings have been built in the last 5 years; Jefferson at Inigos Crossing(2005), Wentworth House(2007), The Meridian(2010) and the most recent North Bethesda Market (Coming soon 2010).
The newest development in Montgomery County, Symphony Park at Strathmore has started demolition and will most likely deliver late 2011 early 2012. This development sits on Rockville Pike and is located adjacent to Strathmore Music. The same home builder built The Lakelands, King Farm and Clarksburg Village communities, all of these are located in Montgomery County.
North Bethesda Market is the newest mixed-use development built by The JBG Companies. This project is currently under construction but nearly complete. North Bethesda market has residential apartments located above retail stores. Currently Whole Foods, Seasons’ 52 restaurant and LA Fitness are anchoring the retail at North Bethesda Market.
Across the street from North Bethesda Market is the ever popular White Flint Mall which has Cheesecake Factory, PF Changs, Bertuccis, Dave & Busters and Bloomingdales. These stores anchor this mall and is a prime fixture in the heart of North Bethesda.
North Bethesda Center is another mixed-use development that is currently under construction. This development is located at the corner of Old Georgetown Road and Rockville Pike, just above the White Flint Metro Station. This area will features residential, retail, office space and a hotel. With over 2 million square feet of new development this project will help reshape the new North Bethesda!
A Class of its Own
Georgetown Preparatory School is located in North Bethesda as well. Since 1789 Georgetown Prep has been one of the elite private schools in the area.
